Shravani Amulya is a final-year college student in Mandya and the daughter of Kempegowda, the respected head of the village. A lively prankster who lights up every room, she is deeply loved by her family and peers. In Mysore, Subramanya Ganesh pursues his dream of becoming a music director, pouring his heart into his craft as he tries to catch the attention of music directors with his skills. The film orbits around their parallel lives colliding when Shravani falls for Sudeep, who proposes to her and stirs a daring plan to run away together.

Despite initial excitement, Shravani soon discovers that Sudeep is a womanizer and a gangster, and she tries to escape his hold. Sudeep captures her, but Subramanya intervenes and thrashes the would‑be captor, saving Shravani from harm. In a moment of desperation, Shravani contemplates ending her life by jumping into a river, yet Subramanya pulls her back from the edge. She confesses that her parents would harshly punish her if they learn about the elopement, pushing Subramanya to propose a risky but hopeful plan: he will pretend to be her lover for now and, in time, reveal the entire truth to Kempegowda. To seal the fiction and protect her, Shravani is asked to wear a fake mangalsutra, a small detail with big consequences.

Kempegowda’s pride and protectiveness flare up, and he throws them out in anger. With Govinda’s help, they decide to masquerade as a couple to Seetharam and Anuradha, who generously offer them a free place to stay. As Sudeep’s vendetta lingers, Subramanya refuses to bow to fear and continues to shield Shravani, even as he confronts the gangster’s threats. During a tense confrontation, Subramanya meets Kempegowda and his brothers and finally lays bare the truth they have been hiding: Shravani did not marry Subramanya, and their relationship began under a lie. This revelation unsettles the family, but it also sets the stage for a choice rooted in love rather than appearances. Kempegowda and his brothers realize their mistake and bring Shravani back to their home, leaving Subramanya feeling crushed by the separation.

In a pivotal turn, Seetharam, Anuradha, and Subramanya reveal what they have learned and remind Kempegowda of the parental love that shaped their own lives. They tell him that the pair’s bond is built on genuine care and sacrifice, not a mere social arrangement, and they advocate for a future where Shravani and Subramanya can be together honestly. In the end, the two lovers reconcile their dreams with their family’s blessing, stepping into a future where love, loyalty, and resilience pave the way for a new beginning.
