Twenty-three-year-old Lukman Avaran plays Abhilash Sasidharan, a Bengaluru-based techie whose dream of securing a Gulf visa is about to come true. Yet a court summons for a long-pending case interrupts his plans and pulls him into a deeper conflict: a small neighbours’ dispute has spiraled into a full-blown legal battle that could derail his future.

Back home in Kerala, Abhilash’s mother Kala, played by Remya Suresh, receives the summons at their home. The order sparks a stern call from the station, with Abu Valayamkulam as C P O Kurian demanding that Abhilash report to the police immediately.

The film then cuts back ten years to Abhilash’s childhood. He grows up with his parents and sister, and during a rooftop cricket game with friends, a vellakka hits Ayisha on her head as she returns from the ration shop after a tiff with her daughter-in-law Naseema. The blow loosens a tooth and causes bleeding, and he’s rushed to the hospital. The incident inflames a feud between Ayisha and Abhilash’s family, worsened by tensions over their boundary wall and the neighborhood dynamics led by Radhakrishnan, the nearby resident.

Ayisha, portrayed by Devi Varma as Ayisha Ravoothar, is arrested for hurting a minor. Her son Sathar, shown by Sujith Sankar as Sathar, and his friend Britto Vincent, played by Binu Pappu, bail her out with the help of Advocate Shenoy, brought to life by Sidhartha Siva.

Two years pass, and bail is cancelled when the family fails to respond to summons. The case strains family loyalties: Sathar debates continuing the fight for his mother while Naseema’s past experiences with similar battles weigh on them. Sathar ultimately leaves his mother with her brother and moves to another town, a decision that compounds Ayisha’s isolation.

Ayisha tries to move the case forward by locating advocate Shenoy, only to learn that Shenoy has passed away. A junior lawyer named Gokulan, Gokulan, steps in and secures a new bail using two false witnesses, shifting the dynamics of the case.

Years roll by as magistrates come and go, with progress slow for a variety of reasons. A newly appointed strict magistrate pushes for prompt action, and Abhilash returns home with the summons, hoping to close the matter and start building his future again. The search for Radhakrishnan, Ayisha’s neighbor, reveals that he is now paralyzed after relocating elsewhere, complicating the pursuit of the case.

Old statements are re-visited as Abhilash and another witness alter their earlier testimonies, turning hostile to protect Ayisha. Gokulan works to cancel the charge against the minor, and the court finally sentences Ayisha to a fine of 5,000 rupees and imprisonment for one day until the court proceedings conclude. Abhilash offers to pay the amount, and the two begin to reconcile. When Ayisha faints at the court canteen and is hospitalized, he takes her home, and his family agrees to patch things up with her. In the end, the long, foggy path to resolution leads them toward a fragile, renewed sense of belonging and a chance to move forward.
