Jung-woo is a naïve music director of film and commercials who also volunteers part-time at a small music institute run by a friend. When that friend flees from debts and workload, Jung-woo is left to face angry creditors, and one of them seizes his precious guitar. While sharing a drink with director Kim, Jung-woo meets Soo-kyung, a rising creative director at an advertising agency, whose sister is involved in the director’s project. Their brief encounter leaves a good impression on him, hinting at something more than a casual connection.

To buy back his guitar, he takes a job composing music for a commercial, and soon the two run into each other again. As they begin to spend time together at work and after-hours drinks, the more Jung-woo and Soo-kyung learn about each other. They discover that they share several things in common, like coming from atypical families and dreams of going on a winery tour, a shared longing that adds a quiet warmth to their budding connection.

But their relationship is put to the test when Jung-woo doesn’t show up on the day of Soo-kyung’s presentation because he was caught in heavy traffic. Soo-kyung misunderstands, calling him irresponsible, and they break up. Yet not long after, they get a chance to work together on a project in Santa Barbara, California, which happens to be the location of their dream winery tour, offering a hopeful frame for a second chance and the possibility to reassess what they mean to each other.
