Genaro, Fausto Mata, is reeling after his divorce from La Morena. He no longer works as the hotel’s chicken mascot, a role that once let him lean on his sanky-panky charm. His inseparable friends, Chelo and Carlitos, Tony Pascual and Aquiles Correa, stand by him as they hatch a bold plan: to leave the Dominican Republic behind, secure visas, and pursue a brighter future in Puerto Rico.

Their chance arrives when a Puerto Rican hotel opens a mascot position. The trio seizes the moment, taking possession of a chicken costume meant for another applicant, and they set off for the island together, hoping a fresh start will mend what’s been broken and open new doors.

On arrival, they dive into a series of comic misadventures shaped by a culture that feels both foreign and welcoming. Chelo tries to keep romance at bay to stay focused on their new path, while Carlitos looks for quick ways to grow his street-side ventures, testing the limits of friendship and loyalty along the way.

Genaro’s luck begins to shift when he meets Patricia, Jazmin Caratini, a sharp publicist and hotel executive. A spark develops between them, but Genaro’s long-ago romantic history threatens to complicate the budding connection and cloud the possibility of a new beginning.

The film also introduces a younger generation of aspiring sanky-pankies, the pollitos, who bring fresh energy to the island’s hospitality scene. They are portrayed by Carlos Sánchez, Bolívar Valera and Gerald Ogando, adding new schemes and a different rhythm to the story.

Across its humor and heart, the narrative follows three friends as they chase a better future, balancing loyalty, love, and the challenge of reinventing themselves far from home. The Caribbean backdrop adds vibrant color to their adventures, turning every misstep into a chance for growth and a reminder that friendship can endure even when paths diverge.
