Vasu Jiiva is a sharp-witted house broker who, along with his friend Sooranam Soori, makes a living by selling homes through a few clever tricks. He and his mother Parvathy, who lives with her brother’s family, have spent years moving from one rented place to another. After his father passes away, Vasu vows to buy a bungalow on the outskirts to root his family in a stable home.
Years later, Vasu buys the bungalow and moves in with his entire kinship. Soon, he discovers that the house was once occupied by Jambulingam Thambi Ramaiah and his family—his wife, his mother, and his daughters. When Jambulingam refuses to vacate, Vasu decides to stay put until he can locate the true owner who deceived him and left this lingering trace of the past. The living history of the house becomes a central thread as love quietly blooms between Vasu and Jambulingam’s daughter Shwetha Sri Divya.
As the romance grows, Vasu and Sooranam attempt a string of ghost tricks to push the old family out, hoping to claim the space without conflict. Vasu’s aunt—a thorn in the side of the plan—speaks harshly of the situation, believing that her own daughter Sandhya would marry Vasu. Parvathy, hopeful for harmony, urges an apology from Vasu, but he refuses, choosing stubborn pride over reconciliation, and the family ultimately moves again in disarray. In a misguided bid to scare Jambulingam’s deaf and dumb mother, Vasu and Sooranam stage a frightening ghostly display; the old woman sees a real apparition and is admitted to the hospital, which only fuels the anger and fear in the house. Jambulingam retaliates by showing a video that captures the supposed haunting, portraying Vasu as the villain in the eyes of the family. The ensuing quarrel pushes Shwetha into the fray, and the entire clan leaves the bungalow behind.
Seeking answers, Vasu reaches out to E. B. Rajeshwari Kovai Sarala to learn more about the elusive presence in the home. Rajeshwari reveals the backstory: Sangili Aandavan Radha Ravi once lived there but was killed by his own kin over the house. The old tale suggests that if both families can coexist peacefully, Aandavan will depart. With this newfound lore, Vasu and Shwetha decide to give the living arrangement another chance, hoping to heal the rift and share the home in unity.
The attempt to share the space is challenged when Jambulingam remains resistant. He drags his family out and even locks Vasu’s family inside, yet a strange turn of events makes him realize he is trapped inside while the others remain outside. In a moment of dramatic intervention, Sangili Aandavan’s presence shifts the dynamic, and the family bands together to rescue Jambulingam from his own fear and pride. The united front and collective strength impress the ancestral spirit, who ultimately withdraws from the house. In the end, Vasu returns to the bungalow with his mother and Shwetha, along with the entire family, to build a new life on the foundations they chose to share.
Throughout the narrative, cameo appearances add color to the tapestry: Jai Sampath jai-sampath makes a brief appearance, and Akshara Gowda akshara-gowda also appears in a limited role, enriching the film’s social and romantic textures. The cast’s warmth is further felt in the supporting characters: Mayilsamy mayilsamy as the Tea Shop Owner, Ilavarasu ilavarasu as Parvathy’s Brother, Rajendran rajendran as the Chairman, Senthikumari senthikumari as Vasu’s aunt, Devadarshini devadarshini as Swetha’s Mother, and Soori soori as Sooranam, whose comic timing helps carry the emotional weight of the house’s history. The family’s dynamics are strengthened by the presence of Radikaa Sarathkumar radikaa-sarathkumar as Parvathy, Vasu Vikram vasu-vikram as the House Owner, Udhayabanu Mageswaran udhayabanu-mageswaran as Vasu’s Father, Amarendran Ramanan amarendran-ramanan as Singapore Singaram, Mona Kakade mona-kakade, Kausalya kausalya as Sangili Aandavan’s Sister, and Madhumila madhumila as Sooranam’s Lover, each adding their own shade to the evolving family saga.
