What Is Safe Conduct About?

The premise of Safe Conduct without spoilers.

During the German occupation of Paris in the 1940s, two filmmakers, Jean Devaivre and Jean Aurenche, find their creative lives challenged. Devaivre secretly works with the French Resistance while making films for Continental. Aurenche, however, defiantly resists the pressure to create propaganda for the German forces, choosing instead to remain true to his artistic vision amidst the restrictive environment of Vichy France.
