The premise of Ryzhy without spoilers.
Set in 1990s Yekaterinburg, the film follows a tight‑knit group of young poets, led by the gifted junior geophysics researcher Boris Ryzhy. They drift through the city’s cold, hazardous streets, moving from one party to another. Ryzhy’s ironic charm lets him negotiate with local toughs, travel to Moscow for the “Anti‑Booker” award, argue at market stalls, and clash with the authorities.
