Artem Dudin, a bright but impulsive student from Voronezh, falls head over heels for a beauty from the Black Sea and abandons his ordinary life to chase her dream all the way south. He boards a train bound for Krasnodar Krai, full of determination, certain that true love can conquer any distance. Upon arrival, he discovers that the captivating Ksyusha Gordeeva is already courted by two serious local rivals: a charming sailor and a bold local policeman. The naive newcomer’s zeal is tempered by the reality that the city’s social scene is wary of outsiders, and even the help of well-meaning friends tends to entangle rather than assist. Still, Artem remains resolute, clinging to the belief that his feelings can redraw the map of his life.

Ksyusha Gordeeva is a young woman who spends most of her time in the city, diving and training at sea, leaving little room for social commitments or romance. Her heart seems set on a quieter path with a sentimental local policeman, Igor, and yet the arrival of a fervent admirer unsettles the delicate balance of her plans. Into this already charged dynamic, Nikita—the cadet from the naval school—also steps forward, presenting his own proposal as he pursues the woman she is becoming.

A dramatic moment unfolds on a yacht in the middle of the Black Sea, when a stowaway suddenly appears and demands a legal marriage, thrusting Artem into a confrontation with Ksyusha’s already fragile arrangements. Ksyusha dives into the sea to escape the mounting tension and swims safely to shore, illustrating a fault line between desire, duty, and personal autonomy. The pursuit intensifies as Nikita actively courts her, while Igor remains close on their trail, the tension between law, loyalty, and love growing with each passing hour.
