Eight years after Magik won a comeback Channel V contest in memory of their late member Rob Nancy, the band is reintroduced to the audience through Kedar “KD” Zaveri, [Purab Kohli], the band’s lead drummer, whose narration threads the story. The group’s guitarist, Joseph Mascarenhas, known as Joe, [Arjun Rampal], has found solid financial success as a judge on a popular reality show and now acts as a working partner with KD at Club Bar & Blues. KD explains that five years ago Aditya Shroff, Magik’s lead singer, left the city following a painful episode and has since been living in a small town in Meghalaya, quietly trying to move on.

Debbie Mascarenhas, [Shahana Goswami], remains a member of Magik and a steady presence in the band’s circle, while the story widens to introduce Jiah Sharma, [Shraddha Kapoor], a young music programmer who is the daughter of the famed sarod maestro Guruji. Jiah encounters Uday Brijkishore Mishra, [Shashank Arora], who has come to study the sarod with Guruji, a relationship that stirs old tensions. Guruji, portrayed by [Kumud Mishra], reluctantly agrees to teach Uday but struggles because Uday’s natural talent with the instrument dredges up painful memories of his late son. As Jiah helps motivate Uday, he performs a sarod piece inspired by a song Jiah had recorded earlier, and unexpectedly brings a CD containing that revised recording to the Club Bar & Blues Studio, setting in motion a twist that begins to pull Magik back together in unforeseen ways.

Meanwhile, on Adi’s birthday, Joe and KD arrive with their families, along with Adi’s wife Sakshi Shroff, [Prachi Desai], and their son Rob, to celebrate. The gathering turns into a moment of connection, as Joe and KD discover Adi’s poetry in his diary and ask if there is a new tune they could arrange. The next morning, a routine chat among the trio shifts into a deeper, past-focused argument about Magik’s failed music label in Mumbai, which had devastating consequences for a young artist’s life. The three friends exchange blame and remorse, but KD steps in to calm the rising tension, and Adi promises to return soon.

The narrative then flashes back to Magik’s early days: a young Rahul Sharma insists that Adi listen to a demo tape of his recordings, but Adi refuses, a decision that will bear heavy consequences. A wildfire sweeps through Meghalaya, leaving many destitute, pushing Adi to travel to Cherrapunji where he confronts Jiah. KD finds Adi there, urging him to come back to Mumbai and try to move on, but Adi resists.

Fast forward to the present, Uday and Jiah are summoned by Joe to the studio, where Jiah finally meets Adi, who has relented and returned. She performs live, and the Magik members are impressed enough to suggest that Jiah sing at an upcoming concert. Yet Jiah hesitates at the last moment, remembering Baba’s disapproval of modern music and the fear of losing the soul of the art.

Tensions flare when it’s revealed that Rahul—Rahul Sharma, Jiah’s brother—died amid the events that tangled Adi and Magik. Amid the surrounding strain, Joe resists any move toward apologizing to Jiah, while Adi and KD wrestle with whether to reach out at all. A flashback to five years earlier shows Rahul attacking Adi, and Rahul’s suicide soon after, which compounds Jiah’s heartbreak and reframes Baba’s long-held beliefs about music and inspiration.

Back in Meghalaya, Adi’s personal life suffers as Sakshi grows distant due to mounting demands and time apart. Jiah visits Adi in the village and persuades him to stop brooding and to begin rebuilding, suggesting that they mount a concert to raise funds and revive the project. Joe and KD organize a rock concert featuring known bands to gather support, but the initiative hits a snag when Mahender, the welfare board chief, stages an ambush at the venue in a bid to shut it down.

Meanwhile, Guruji is contacted by a news reporter, and it becomes clear that Jiah had been at the ambush site. In a heated moment, Jiah accuses Baba of failing Rahul by not providing the right encouragement when it mattered the most. Guruji must confront his own rigid views about the role of tradition versus modern expression and reconsider his approach to nurturing young artists. A resilient plan forms as a contestant from Joe’s reality show brings in equipment to replace the broken setup, and the concert grows into a success. Adi helps Jiah overcome her fears on stage, the village begins to rebound, and Mahender finally releases the funds.

In the end, Magik reunites with Uday as a new member joins the band, and Jiah emerges as a singing sensation, her voice bridging the old and new eras of the group. The film closes on a note that acknowledges how art—both traditional and contemporary—can coexist, heal wounds of the past, and propel a community toward resilience and renewal.
