Richard III: The King in the Car Park (2013): Cast

This documentary chronicles the remarkable search for the remains of King Richard III, who died in 1485 at the Battle of Bosworth Field. Following his death, his remains were taken to Leicester and initially believed to be buried at Greyfriars Church. When the church disappeared, it was speculated that the site lay beneath a modern car park. A member of the Richard III Society, Phillipa Langley, persuaded archaeologists from the University of Leicester to conduct a dig. The excavation yielded a skeleton that was later confirmed to be that of the king through DNA analysis, revealing a familial link to Canadian Michael Ibsen, a descendant of Richard III’s sister.
