Savannah Delongpre, a wealthy NYC runway fashion model, travels back to her Georgia hometown seeking a quieter, less pressurized life and to spend time with her affluent grandmother, Belle Delongpre. While staying with Belle, Savannah encounters a treasure trove of home movies from her childhood, including footage of her late mother, offering a quiet, intimate window into the family’s past. On the sprawling swamp property known as Two Moon Junction, Savannah meets Jake Gilbert, a rugged yet kindhearted drifter who lives in a small house near the Delongpre family’s land. Jake is an artist who creates scrap-metal sculptures, a craft born of principle rather than profit, and he comes from a poorer background that has sparked a long-standing feud with Savannah’s family. Despite their very different worlds, Savannah finds herself drawn into a clandestine relationship with Jake, choosing to linger instead of returning to New York immediately. She dreams of introducing his work to the city and even imagines him running his own gallery, though Jake remains wary, valuing integrity over money and fearing how fame might alter their connection.

As the affair intensifies, Belle becomes determined to sever it. She tries every possible angle to break the bond between Savannah and Jake, and when bribery proves ineffective, she takes a more direct route. Belle reaches out to Savannah’s possessive fiancé, Robert Lee, bringing him into the plan to disrupt the relationship by seizing the Two Moon Junction property and forcing Jake off the land.
