Each faction holds a share of power, and the streets stay relatively quiet as long as the deals stay quiet too. In this web of loyalties, [Cheung Wah] is Jimmy’s sharp-witted wife and the brains behind their expanding empire, helping the family rise to the top of the underground economy. Yet [Man Ching]‘s empire is faltering, its reach shrinking as rival forces press in.

One night, a gunman bursts into a dinner and fires several shots into Jimmy’s head, leaving him in a coma and triggering a ruthless scramble for control. With Jimmy incapacitated, Cheung Wah halts all business and assigns [Po] to uncover the backhand schemes while keeping the operation quiet. As the five gangs jostle for position, violence spreads into the East District, and the city braces for a widening storm of conflict.

Po’s investigation pushes him to Sand’s place, where he finally drags the killer out, escalating the stakes for everyone involved. Cheung Wah flies back from Taiwan to take the lead, a move watched closely by the police who have been waiting for a moment like this. They are already stationed at the airport, ready for Wah’s return as the clock ticks toward a confrontation that could redefine the balance of power.
