Ready or Not 2: Here I Come 2026

The film picks up right where the last one ended, with police sweeping the burning Le Domas mansion and Grace MacCaullay, Samara Weaving, slumped on the steps, cigarette in hand and nerves rattled. She slips into a panic, passes out, and is rushed to the hospital. Back at the hospital, Grace wakes handcuffed to a bed and is immediately questioned by Detective Bassett, Grant Nickalls, about the fire and the shattered truth surrounding the family’s gruesome end. The investigators already know the bodies of Daniel and Becky lie amid the ruins, and the blood on Grace’s wedding dress belongs to no one in her circle. The tension is sharpened by the fact that Grace’s emergency contact is her long-estranged sister Faith MacCaullay, Kathryn Newton, who has not spoken to Grace in seven years. Faith tries to listen with composure as Grace recounts the night’s events, the legend of the Le Bail cult, and the unnerving specter of Mr. Le Bail herself, a figure Grace claims to have seen. Faith remains skeptical about the supernatural dimension, choosing to see Grace’s trauma as a more human aftershock rather than a doorway to occult conspiracy.

Meanwhile, the ailing Chester Danforth, David Cronenberg, learns of the Le Domas collapse and Grace’s survival. He fires off a quick message to a circle of old allies who once sat on the satanist cult council that the Le Domases led by tradition. Among the invitees are Ignacio El Caído, Nestor Carbonell; Wan Chen Xing, Olivia Cheng; Madhu Rajan and Viraj Rajan, Varun Saranga and Nadeem Phillip; and Bill Wilkinson, Kevin Durand. Chester’s twin children, Ursula and Titus Danforth, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Shawn Hatosy, arrive with a blunt sense that the power of Le Bail should stay with their line, not with Grace or Faith. Yet, Chester remains adamant: the rules belong to Le Bail, and they will be enforced.

The gathering is brutal and immediate. Ursula and Titus kill Chester by smothering him with a pillow, a stark display of the ruthlessness that governs the council. The group then sets a plan in motion by bringing all the other families into the fold. Detective Bassett’s death soon follows when Bill Wilkinson erupts in a violent surge, tossing a knife into the detective’s neck and flipping the game on its head. Grace and Faith seize the moment to flee, grabbing the corpse’s weapon and bolting through the lodge’s corridors as chaos erupts around them. Bill’s sudden eruption and the ensuing chaos demonstrate the cruel logic of Le Bail’s game: bloodlines rise and fall according to a ritual power dynamic that rewards ruthlessness and punishes mercy.

The council members converge at the Danforths’ lodge and casino, where the rules of engagement are explained by The Lawyer, a quietly ominous figure played by Elijah Wood, who acts as the wily facilitator of this deadly ritual. He clarifies that Grace’s survival of Hide and Seek grants her an extraordinary, dangerous status: she could inherit the seat of power if she can endure the dawn and claim the council’s ring before the other families do. Grace initially resists the pressure, but the threat to Faith’s life becomes a pressure point that pushes her toward accepting the perilous path. The siblings must survive a moonlit hunt through a golf course, with the other families chasing Grace and Faith through the landscape while security cameras keep the action under watchful eyes.

Ignacio El Caído, [Nestor Carbonell], Wan Chen Xing, [Olivia Cheng], Madhu Rajan, [Varun Saranga], and Viraj Rajan, [Nadeem Phillip], push ahead on their respective fronts. The chase climaxes with brutal choices: a bandsaw to cut Grace and Faith free from their restraints, a violent confrontation that sees Viraj almost meet a fatal end, and the cunning manipulation of the terrain to gain lethal advantage. Madhu, faced with his own weak position, attempts a power play by abdication in favor of Martina Rajan, [Masa Lizdek], who nonetheless signs the contract and keeps the pressure on Grace.

Back at the casino, Grace and Faith attempt to regroup and weigh possible loopholes, while Chen Xing’s counsel offers them an escape hatch: Grace could marry Cheng Fu, [Antony Hall], thereby granting the Wans the seat, and letting her avoid living under the cult’s shadow. Grace refuses the arrangement, reaffirming her stance against the devilish pact that has claimed so many lives. Ignition comes quickly when Ignacio stalks them again; Grace seizes Chen Xing’s sword and ends Ignacio’s threat with a decisive strike that rips the threat away from their path. Chen Xing’s faction suffers in the exchange, and the Wans’ hold on the spectacle weakens, though Ursula and Titus press on with grim determination.

As the wedding approaches, the two sisters face one final gauntlet. Francesca El Caído, [Maia Jae Bastidas], tries to strike, but Grace repels her with a fierce counterattack, ultimately killing Francesca with a decisive blow. The twins’ power play intensifies as Titus confronts Faith, forcing Grace into a perilous choice: secure a marriage that would save Faith, or walk away and risk everything. Grace proposes a marriage to Titus in a strategic bid to buy time and safety, and Titus accepts, unaware of the deeper trap he has stepped into.

The climactic confrontation unfolds in a tense, ritual wedding where The Lawyer presides. Titus forces a kiss on Grace, and the ring becomes his instrument of power as he seizes it, but Grace seizes a nearby dagger and stabs him repeatedly in a brutal, unflinching moment. Faith hurls Titus into a merciless pit of corpses, and Grace ultimately claims the ring to sever herself from Le Bail entirely. With a decisive act, she detonates the possibility of further bloodshed by discarding the ring into the pit and triggering a cascading frenzy among the remaining council members, who begin to kill one another in a macabre scramble for dominance. Dawn breaks, and a spectacular, explosive culmination erupts as many of the cultists explode in their own ritual, with Madhu meeting a dramatic end as he lingers in the field.

Mr. Le Bail reappears to acknowledge the sisters’ survival, and The Lawyer grants them release, leaving Grace and Faith to navigate a future free from the council’s control. Grace even takes a goat—an unintended relic of the night’s ritual—as a symbol of their newfound agency and stubborn resilience. As the gate opens to daylight, the sisters choose to reconcile and decide to rebuild their relationship, setting a path forward that focuses on trust, support, and a shared sense of purpose rather than manipulation and fear. The closing image hints at a fragile, hopeful renewal between Grace and Faith, a promise of a life beyond the shadows of Le Bail and the monstrous traditions that once defined their bloodline.
