By contrast, his son Raghava slides into a life of indulgence, drawn to gambling, betting, and a growing pile of debts that shadows the family.

Despite Dasarath Ramam’s firm guidance and relentless attempts to reform him, Raghava’s stubborn habits persist. In a bid to skim money through shortcuts, he forges his father’s signature, a deceit that taints Rama’s reputation with corruption and becomes a heavy burden he cannot bear. The act strains the father’s dignity and deeply affects the family’s trust and sense of security, testing the limits of a man who believed in doing the right thing.

To shield what remains of the family’s standing and resources, Rama makes a harsh choice: he expels Raghava from the home. The rift grows as Raghava’s addictions and debts intensify, pushing him toward a desperate plan. With the promise of a quick route to a government job, insurance payouts, and the family’s remaining assets, he resolves to kill his own father—a plan born from desperation and a belief that it would secure his future.
