Raju, Raj Tarun is a kleptomaniac, i.e., he impulsively steals, a problem his father Narayana Rajendra Prasad discovers in childhood. He and his father take him to Dr. Saima Prudhviraj, who promises to cure him with a new medicine, but the treatment proves ineffective. Because of this condition, Raju struggles to form a relationship, until he crosses paths with the radiant Tanvi Amyra Dastur, whose charm helps him navigate his issue with a series of funny, plausible excuses. Their budding romance gains momentum, yet it is tethered to family expectations, and Tanvi’s family begins to weigh the match carefully, starting with Tanvi’s grandfather, Suryanarayana Nagineedu Vellanki. Tanvi’s father Shiju and her mother, Pramodini Pammi, hold the key to the approval they seek, while the elder statesman’s stern sense of justice adds a sharpening edge to the tale.

Suryanarayana’s village authority is unequivocal: he hates thieves and metes out harsh punishment, sometimes by chopping off hands. The fear of his judgment pushes Raju to a desperate ruse, inventing a scenario in which Narayana becomes the accused kleptomaniac in order to spare his own son and protect Tanvi’s future. Amid this family tension, a terrorist gang comes into sharper focus in Raju’s world—a peril tied to a bomb they had prepared for a 100 crore contract, and their pursuit of the missing device pulls Raju deeper into danger than before.

Anji Rao Ramesh, Suryanarayana’s former servant ostracized years earlier for stealing temple jewelry, reappears after twenty-five years as a powerful tycoon bent on vengeance. He orchestrates a sinister plan, reconciling with the terrorists and maneuvering to frame Suryanarayana, all while nursing old grievances. The plot thickens when Anji facilitates the theft network and places the bomb in Raju’s towel, intertwining personal treachery with international threats. To shield his family’s honor and his own, Raju steps forward, confessing his so-called infirmity, even as Tanvi’s trust wavers and her affection wavers between doubt and hope.

The story heats up as Raju, determined to reveal the truth, outsmarts the conspirators by seizing the triggering device from the terrorists, triggering a chain of events that exposes Anji’s machinations. With the criminals exposed and the danger averted, Tanvi and her family come to see the real measure of Raju’s character and virtue, offering forgiveness and embracing his love. The film closes on a bright, celebratory note: the couple prepare for marriage, and in a cheeky post-credits moment, Raju, true to his impulsive pattern, steals the wedding chain at the moment of his own wedding.
