Raja drifts through life as a good-for-nothing who repeatedly fails his college exams and spends his days idling with his friend Gobinda, who runs Powerpaglu Saloon. On the day of his final examination for the third time, Raja crosses paths with his classmate Isha and is instantly drawn to her, though his grasp of English is poor—he can’t decode the meaning of the word “pardon” that she often utters after his awkward proposals. The encounter sparks more confusion than romance, and Isha’s patience begins to wear thin as his lines fail to land.

The turning point comes when Gobinda insults Isha’s father at a conference for not granting Raja a loan, triggering a reevaluation of alliances and futures.
