Moe, a struggling boxing manager, faces a tense midday crisis as his fighters storm into a lunchtime stand-off, threatening to quit over unpaid wages. Amid the chaos, a serendipitous moment arrives when a strolling violinist, Larry, plays the playful melody of Pop Goes the Weasel, unintentionally provoking a volatile outburst from Curly, a timid waiter who has never matched the ferocity of a real fight. Sensing an opportunity, Moe quickly pivots: he signs Curly as a boxer and arranges for Larry to play the same tune during Curly’s matches, turning his trembling composure into a surprising, almost effortless ring skill that helps Curly secure prize money.
