The Star Twinkle PreCure story unfolds as a quiet night of stargazing turns into an otherworldly upheaval. The Star Twinkle team—Hikaru Hoshina as Cure Star and Lala Hagoromo as Cure Milky—peers through their telescope, only to be pulled into the vastness of space by a bird-like creature named Piton, who wields a radiant Miracle Light. This sudden shift drags in two other legendary teams: the Hug! Pretty Cure crew and the Kirakira Pretty Cure a la Mode squad. The Hug! team brings Hana Arisugawa as Cure Custard, Saaya Yakushiji as Cure Ange, Homare Kagayaki as Cure Etoile, Emiru Aisaki as Cure Macherie and Lulu Amour as Cure Amour, while the Kirakira group includes Ichika Usami as Cure Whip, Himari Arisugawa as Cure Custard, Aoi Tategami as Cure Gelato, Yukari Kotozume as Cure Macaron, Akira Kenjō as Cure Chocolat and Ciel Kirahoshi as Cure Parfait. Piton’s arrival triggers a collision of fates, as the three teams rally to protect their own as a looming darkness closes in.
What begins as a united front quickly falters when the dark cloud moves in and targets Piton. The combined force of the three teams launches a counterattack, forming a shimmering shield around the ominous cloud. Yet their efforts falter because their hearts have not found perfect harmony; the Star Twinkle team also joins the skirmish, but their assault loses momentum as the darkness presses in. The shield buckles, Piton’s Miracle Light wanes, and the universe seems to succumb to a chilling silence. In that moment of doubt, Piton realizes something painful: the three teams and the Miracle Light may not be the cure but a fragile lie.
The crisis forces a brutal separation. The Cures are scattered across three distinct planets, each world crafted to test their resolve. One world is a skybound realm of drifting clouds; another bakes under a scorching sun; a third hosts bird-like citizens who echo Piton’s own species. Each planet becomes a temporary home that invites the Cures to reconnect with their core identities. The bonds that form feel warm and real, and Piton’s heart even softens as he shares a scoop of Lala’s fruit ice cream with a stray friend of this peculiar cosmos. The separation is completed by the arrival of space police, who arrest Ichika, Himari, Lala, Aoi, and Ciel under suspicion of crimes tied to the darkening of the universe. Piton escapes toward the hot planet, and clues reveal Soleil and Selene have slipped away as well.
With the Cures dispersed, Piton journeys to the cloud planet where the Miracle Light seems to drift toward a glimmer of hope. Using the Light, he clears the path of darkness for the Star, Yell, Ange and Etoile—named figures from the three teams who still hold onto their essential power. The mission accelerates as Piton and the Cures converge on a factory where the final part of the Miracle Light must be completed. But they become ensnared in a cage, and the global balance seems poised to collapse once again.
A pivotal turn comes when Yango, who has orchestrated the chaos from behind the scenes, reveals his true power. He sheds his protective guise, revealing a red-tinted scheme and a brainwashing force that sways citizens across the universe, including Earth. The three teams rally, fighting back against the brainwashed masses while Piton’s own inner guilt resurfaces. The Cures escape their confinement and confront Yango, while Star and Piton ally with the president to reach the pinnacle of the factory. Piton’s burden grows heavier as he contends with the realization that his tears hold the key to finishing the Miracle Light.
In a dramatic crescendo, the Miracle Light finally reaches its completion, and Piton channels its last, luminous breath. The darkness dissolves, and the minds of the brainwashed citizens begin to unravel, returning to themselves as the universal chorus explodes in relief and gratitude. The three teams—joined by the legacy of the older Pretty Cures—converge to form a triumphant pyramid of light as they unleash the “Pretty Cure Miracle Universe Twinkle” to purify Yango. The antagonist is purified, and a hopeful vow is made: Piton is celebrated as a master of the Miracle Light, a symbol of unity, and a promise that the cosmos will remain protected as long as the light endures. The crowd’s cheers echo across the galaxy, signaling a new legend in the Pretty Cure saga.
Back on Earth, life resumes a gentler rhythm. Hikaru Hoshina’s universe-bridging moment lingers as Earthbound friends gaze upward with renewed wonder. Ryōtarō Sorami returns, carrying a cup of tea and a quiet question about where the other girls came from. He shrugs with a warm, knowing smile, finding comfort in the idea that there can be more to the world than meets the eye—and that perhaps, in time, everyone can share in the same sky.
This expansive adventure blends spacefaring spectacle with heartfelt teamwork, showcasing how courage, friendship, and a well-timed dose of sweetness can illuminate even the darkest corners of the cosmos.
