Madhuri is a saleswoman who works at a leading city clothing store, supporting herself and her mother with her earnings and sewing work. One day, while on the way to her workplace, she is molested on a bus by a goon named Antappan. She pursues him, but he manages to escape.
Determined to get justice, Madhuri sets out to find the teaser and track him down, even though Antappan is currently in hiding after a recent clash with other thugs. After a long search, she locates him near a busy railway station. Before she can close the distance, Antappan is attacked by a goon squad and left critically injured, and Madhuri carries him to a hospital. She tells a friend that she wishes Antappan could come back to life so she can have her revenge.
In the ensuing police investigation, Madhuri learns that the goons who targeted Antappan were hired by the local police inspector, who fears Antappan’s growing hold over the market. During the inquiry, Madhuri is framed as the prime suspect. The police monitor her movements, hoping she will somehow lead them to Antappan, who is on bail and has fled. The plan, they think, is to kill Antappan and blame Madhuri for it. Yet Madhuri proves resourceful, and eventually finds Antappan again. He is now paralyzed from the waist down, emotionally broken.
Antappan’s wife tells him that Madhuri helped him reach the hospital and that he lives thanks to her. When he sees Madhuri, he cries out of guilt, and she walks away without a word. On her way home, Madhuri witnesses a man groping a schoolgirl on a bus. She intervenes, ejects the attacker, and crushes his hand with a stone. She then redirects her anger toward Antappan, and the man she has identified as Antappan—who protests that his name is Satheesh—causes a stir when Madhuri insists that Antappan and Satheesh are the same person.
