Lucy witnesses a knife fight at her public school, stepping just a few footsteps away from the scene of violence. Stuart [Christopher Eccleston] and Alison [Susannah Harker] fear for their daughter and begin to look for a place that can offer security and protection without breaking the bank.

With limited funds and a desire to secure a prestigious education for Lucy, the family sets their sights on St Mary of the Veil, a Catholic school run by a group of nuns who uphold traditional values and maintain exclusivity through long enrollment waiting lists.
