A coastal seafood restaurant in a Korean fishing village becomes the unlikely stage for a determined mackerel from the open ocean, who finds herself confined in a glass tank among a chorus of other captive fish. From the first night, she bears witness to the brutal truth of life on display, when another mackerel is taken from the tank and prepared as food. This moment awakens a fierce instinct to survive that will soon set the tone for everything that follows.
