Dakshna Murthy [Bobby Simha] is a young man who frequently loses his jobs because of his strong moral ethics. Malar, his sister-in-law, is a confident, young woman who works in a jewelry shop. She became a widow within a month of marrying Dakshna’s brother, and her husband is found dead near the railway tracks by their village. Despite her status as a young widow, they continue to share a home because she married Dakshna’s brother against her family’s wishes. Dakshna encourages Malar to remarry, but she resists.

Dakshna then starts working at a water-can distribution shop, a job that brings him into contact with a wide array of people. Through these interactions, he falls in love with Veni [Keerthy Suresh], who works in a garment factory and is also a customer of his service. Veni’s father, a manual scavenger, accepts the romance but remains wary about the feasibility of the relationship between Dakshna and Malar.

As a result, Malar agrees to a second marriage. Dakshna sets out to find a suitable groom for Malar, but the potential partner is held back by financial constraints. He decides to raise money to help Jeeva with his finances so that Malar can remarry. Along the way, many well-meaning people chip in with small amounts, yet the total falls short.

The story unfolds with quiet resilience and a focus on community support as Dakshna attempts to secure a stable path for his sister-in-law’s happiness, all while navigating his own commitments and moral code.
