Azhagu [Vimal] and Mike [Soori] are thick friends, a carefree pair of jobless youths who wander through life with a light heart and little plan beyond the next day. Their path crosses with Priya [Priya Anand], whom they meet on a train while trying to outrun a group of goons. At first misled, they briefly mistake Priya for a prostitute, only to quickly realize she is a doctor with a sharper sense of purpose than they expected. Azhagu is struck by Priya’s presence and decides, almost instinctively, that he wants to become an engineer so he can marry her. The moment Priya is threatened, Azhagu acts to protect her, saving her from a man who intends harm. Once safe, Priya begins to share her story with him, laying out the thread that will tie their fates together.

Priya’s world expands to include Kalpana [Vishakha Singh], a friend from a village she visited during a medical camp. In that village, Priya learns that people suffer from the looming shadow of cancer and related illnesses, all linked to the steel factory owned by Selva Vinayagam [Nassar]. Kalpana works at the factory, and Priya returns with a sense of urgency. She infiltrates the company with Kalpana’s help, gathering evidence and pressing the company to provide safety equipment for the laborers so the workers won’t be harmed any longer. But Selva’s response is dismissive and insulting, and Priya leaves the site discouraged but not defeated.

Tragedy strikes back at the factory when Kalpana operates a costly machine and her hand becomes trapped, leading to severe blood loss. Priya pleads with the factory owners to dismantle the dangerous apparatus to save Kalpana, but the owners refuse, and Kalpana dies as a result. The loss crystallizes Priya’s resolve into action: she decides to sue the company, filing a case that could change the lives of many workers. The next day’s court appearance looms large, and with Selva’s men threatening Priya, the tension thickens. The core question becomes whether Azhagu and Mike will stand by Priya, help her escape the goons, and support her in a legal fight she hopes will hold the company to account.

Set against the backdrop of a factory in Kayalpattinam (Thoothukudi), the film offers a pointed look at the safety of laborers who work under dangerous conditions and the real risks they face daily. The film’s social resonance extends beyond its fictional world, touching on a grim real-world echo: soon after the movie’s release, a catastrophic incident occurred at the Ranipet Sipcot industrial estate in Vellore district, when a tank from an effluent treatment plant collapsed onto a neighboring factory’s wall, tragically taking the lives of ten workers. This event underscored the very issues the movie lifts up—the high stakes of industrial safety and the ongoing need for vigilant oversight to prevent such losses in reality.
