Oru Cheru Punchiri follows Krishna Kuruppu and his wife Ammalukutty in their mid-seventies, living quietly in their ancestral house where he tends a small vegetable patch and she prepares his favorite dishes while watching over his health. Their life, though simple, feels deeply fulfilling as they choose to stay rooted on the land they own rather than yield to the pleas of their grown children to sell the property and move to the city. The long days are made meaningful by routine, care, and a stubborn affection for the world they’ve built together.
