
In 1964, Momoko leaves her hometown and moves to Tokyo, where she meets and marries Shūzō. Together, they build a family and raise two children. However, their happiness is shattered when Shūzō unexpectedly dies, leaving Momoko facing life alone once again. Seeking solace and a new direction, she begins visiting the library and discovering the transformative power of books, which profoundly alters her life's course.
