Chandu Siddharth and Siri Shruti Haasan are childhood friends, affectionately calling each other “Faltoos” and “Killer.” Their bond remains strong as they grow up, weathering the ups and downs of family expectations and personal dreams. Chandu is sent to Mumbai to pursue an MBA, but the lure of music pulls him in a different direction, returning home to the anguish and worry of his father Tanikella Bharani. In a show of loyalty, Siri convinces Chandu’s father that it is her responsibility to help nurture and protect Chandu’s musical career, setting the stage for a journey that blends friendship, affection, and ambition.

They head to an audition where tensions flare with a band, and Chandu is sent out broken but not defeated. Before that moment, Siri accepts a love proposal from Uday, who lives in the US, after seeking Chandu’s counsel. The trio’s lives take another turn when they unexpectedly reconnect with their college friend Ritu Sharma Hansika Motwani. Chandu is struck by Ritu at first sight and begins spending time with her to impress her, while Siri senses she is being kept at a distance. This creates an undercurrent of jealousy and unspoken feelings that complicate their friendships.

Siri decides to leave for a dancing school in Chennai, hoping to find clarity, while Ritu accepts Chandu’s growing affection and openness. Just as Siri is about to depart, Chandu apologizes, acknowledging that he had not noticed how his actions affected her. At the same time, Uday returns from the US to surprise Siri, and she decides not to leave after all, choosing to stay and see how things unfold.

Chandu then decides to participate in the Airtel music competition in Kochi as the lead guitarist of a band. Siri, Uday, and Ritu accompany him on this journey, and they stay at a hotel where Clarity Kanna Rao Ali Basha serves as the attentive, if sometimes comic, servant. Through practice and camaraderie, Chandu earns the respect of his bandmates, and the bond between him and Siri deepens, even as Ritu and Uday’s jealousy grows. Chandu wins the competition with a guitar gifted by Siri, a moment that cements his musical success but also intensifies the emotional triangle around him.

The events in Kochi reveal a profound and delicate friendship between Chandu and Siri, which breeds jealousy in Ritu and Uday. Facing mounting pressure, Uday asks them to choose between him and Chandu, effectively proposing a breakup to preserve the possibility of a future together for Siri. Chandu’s father voices his support for Uday’s view, urging Chandu and Siri to realize the true nature of their love. Yet Chandu insists that their deep friendship cannot simply become romance and tells Uday to marry Siri, vowing to withdraw from her life. The emotional stakes are high, and the film pivots on whether true friendship can evolve into love without breaking the bonds of trust.

In a bittersweet turn, Siri gives birth to Uday’s child, while Chandu and Ritu—who is now a married woman—come to see them at the hospital. At the bedside, Uday realizes the cost of separating them and suggests that they all be friends again. The quartet finds a path back to friendship, and they leave the hospital together, with Siri and Uday’s baby sharing a ride in Chandu’s car. The story closes on a note of reconciliation, where longtime friends navigate love, loyalty, and the realities of life, choosing to walk forward with renewed understandings and a hopeful sense of family.
