Paramu Mammootty and Johnny Lalu Alex hatch a plan to frame Unnithan for the murder of a government official, a crime carried out with the help of a corrupt policeman. They seize Unnithan’s black money, trap Malayil Thomas, another businessman, and ride a wave of early success that convinces them they can outmaneuver rivals and authorities alike.

Paramu squanders the money and becomes a henchman for McPherson Sukumaran, an Anglo-Indian businessman, while Johnny uses the funds to build himself up as a legitimate player in the business world.

To avoid capture during a raid, McPherson asks Paramu to safe-keep 100 lakhs (1 crore) of his unaccounted money for two months. Paramu entrusts the money to Johnny, but Geetha Shobana, Unnithan’s daughter who has fallen on hard times, enters their lives and changes the dynamic between the two men.

Paramu marries her out of guilt, and Johnny becomes his enemy. Johnny grows paranoid and begins to eliminate anyone he distrusts, turning on former allies in a bid to secure his own position.

Johnny, with Mathews, informs McPherson that Paramu has run off with the money. The two old partners join forces to eliminate Paramu and retrieve the cash.

In the end, a fatal confrontation unfolds: Johnny shoots Paramu, and Paramu fires back, and both men die near the fields where they had committed their first murder together.
