Night Of Terror 2006

Police have been vainly searching the countryside for the knife-wielding Maniac, who has been on a murderous spree. The Maniac’s victims are each found with a taunting newspaper clipping attached to their body. After the wealthy uncle of a young scientist is mysteriously murdered, people wonder if the Maniac is responsible. Into this web of suspicion step Sean Dunne, Rick Roberts, Richard Grant, Nick Mancuso, Kevin, Chris Banks, Olivia Dunne, Martha Maclsaac, and Jill Dunne, Mitzi Kapture, forming a tense circle of family members and potential heirs.

Prior to the uncle’s death, the young scientist in question, Dr. Arthur Hornsby, claimed to have developed a method of living without oxygen for extended periods. To prove his theory, he had himself buried after taking a dose of the serum. Despite his apparent incapacity, the death of his uncle leaves a vast fortune to be divided among his family members and the servants. In this precarious arrangement, if one heir dies, their portion shifts to the surviving relatives, escalating the stakes and the pressure on everyone close to the will.

As members of the family begin to die, suspicion widens beyond the relatives and into the household staff, including the enigmatic mystic butler, whose presence adds a chilling, suspenseful atmosphere to the investigation. The documentary-like clues and taunting notes tied to each victim keep the investigation steady, with the press and the public eager for answers.

In a climactic reversal, it is revealed that Dr. Hornsby faked his own burial and used the ruse as a cover for committing the murders. His motive was to prune away other heirs and seize the fortune for himself, leaving only his own claim to the inheritance. The truth comes to light with the help of the loyal butler, whose discovery of the deception exposes Hornsby’s plan and brings the killer to justice—at least in appearances. The Maniac is shot and apparently killed by the newspaper reporter Tom Hartley; but in the closing moments of the film, the killer returns to life, delivering a chilling warning that he will haunt the audience if the plot twist is ever revealed.
