In 2044, the sprawling influence of Ambro, a dominant drug company, is rocked when computer hackers erase its research records. Before the culprit can be caught, the lead hacker injects himself with an experimental drug and vanishes, leaving behind a mystery that threads through time and motive. This future threat casts a long shadow over the events of twenty years earlier, when a tense chain of discoveries begins.
