Back at Bucks’ house, a disturbing pattern emerges: Prem is dealing with anterograde amnesia, a short-term memory loss that wipes out the past year from his mind, erasing memories of the impending marriage to Dhanalakshmi and even the bike that was stolen days earlier. Yet he still recognizes his friends, a detail that deepens the confusion and concern among them.

Worried, the trio takes Prem to a local hospital, where a doctor confirms the diagnosis and admits him for care. They decide to keep his parents and Dhanalakshmi in the dark about the condition, a choice that weighs heavily on them as they try to protect him while searching for a way to help. They also bring in Prem’s Prem’s Father to keep the situation from him, hoping for a quiet resolution while navigating medical advice and mounting uncertainty.

The situation grows tenser when Bucks’ boss arrives and shares a cautionary tale of a man who developed amnesia after an accident and never fully recovered. Burdened by fear, the friends improvise: Bhaji is left in charge for the night with Prem, in the hope that time and care might restore him, even as Prem continues to stay in the same condition the next day.
