Mysterious Island 2011

In the 1970s, on the Binlusai islands, a young mother is killed as she flees an ominous presence inside an abandoned Roman Catholic leper colony, a haunting echo of a dark past that lingers over the place. In the present day, eight travelers arrive on the same island to take part in a survival game organized by the TV channel Search Planet, led by Chen Jiadong. On board the boat, the lineup includes the TV presenter Stanley and the cameraman Ken, all eager for a prize that could change their lives. The eight contestants are split into four pairs, each pair handed a map that supposedly leads to a hidden flag, with a one-million-dollar grand prize for the winning duo. The air crackles with competitive energy, but tension soon mixes with something more primal as they close in on the island.

As they approach shore, the voyage is disrupted by an unseen force beneath the water, tearing at their boat and scattering their supplies. On land, the group faces immediate danger from feral boars that stalk the jungle; a fellow competitor, Ono Hiroshi, proves his prowess by felling one of the tusked beasts with a hunting knife. The night deepens the mystery as they stumble upon the ruins of the long-forgotten leper colony. Inside a chapel, a stark message scrawled on a stained-glass window hints at grim fates ahead: the truth they seek may come at a deadly cost. Guan Zhichun and Tina press Peng Fei to surrender the map, while Shen Yilin insists that the map be returned to her, determined to protect her partner.
