Maxie, Lisa-Marie Koroll, is a teenage girl who isn’t thrilled about leaving the countryside for the big city. She and her mother move there to form a new family with Amir Tammo Kaulbarsch and his two sons, Sami Alex Kelly and Derek. The upheaval of starting over in a bustling urban environment tests their bonds, but the effort to build a fresh, supportive home gradually brings them closer together and gives Maxie a sense of belonging she hadn’t expected to find.

In the world of fairies, Violetta Jella Haase misses her tooth-fairying exam once again and is barred from entering the human realm. Undeterred, she slips into Maxi’s new room with her firefly companion Gwen Alex Avenell, thinking the sleeping space belongs to Sami, who has just lost a tooth. Violetta ends up spending the night there because she can’t return to the fairy world, and Maxie soon discovers the unexpected guest. With a calm and practical touch, Maxie helps the anxious fairy find another way to go home, forging a bridge between their two very different worlds.

Meanwhile, Yolando and the Professor, two fairies played by Julian Mau and Stephan Benson, seek a way to reach the human world using the old path—through an ancient tree whose trunk acts as a portal. The plan is complicated by time and danger, but the curiosity and determination of these magical beings push them forward. Yolando is eventually called to the human world anyway, prompted by Sami’s latest tooth loss, and there he gives Violetta the key to the portal hidden within the tree.

That very tree sits stubbornly in a warehouse, where a promoter intends to clear the space to build a hotel. The promoter’s actions threaten the delicate link between the fairy and human realms, and he even cuts the tree in two. Yet Violetta’s unique power proves stronger than intention: she heals the damaged tree and unlocks the gateway once more, reaffirming her hidden potential.

The tale reaches a pivotal moment when the Professor reveals a truth about Violetta’s identity. Rather than remaining confined to being a tooth fairy, she is revealed to be a powerful flower fairy with the ability to heal plants and nature itself. This revelation reframes her place in both worlds and marks a turning point in her journey.

As the two worlds intersect and the threat to the forest and its magic is resolved, Maxie and Violetta part with a heartfelt promise to reunite under the full moon by the tree, signaling a hopeful friendship that transcends their initial differences and sets the stage for future adventures.
