What Is Mur Murs About?
The premise of Mur Murs without spoilers.
Venturing from Venice Beach to Watts, Varda explores Los Angeles’s murals as both backdrop and mirror of the city’s many cultures. She offers a curious eye to graffiti, photorealism, roller‑disco scenes and gang violence, while also observing evangelical Christians, Hare Krishnas, artists, angels and everyday Angelenos. Through vivid street footage, interviews and a dynamic soundtrack, the film reveals how the colorful walls reflect the hopes, tensions and diversity of Los Angeles life.
