Tom the cat pursues Jerry through the garden, sprinting through a muddy puddle and rushing into the house, leaving a wet, muddy trail on the kitchen floor just after Mammy Two-Shoes, Lillian Randolph (voice) (uncredited) has finished cleaning. As punishment, she orders Tom to scrub the floor and keep the house spotless, then heads out to go shopping, delivering a stern warning:
