During a unique Growth Opportunity graduation, which humorously mimics the Erhard Seminars Training, we meet a free-spirited punk couple, Terry and Charlie. Their adventure soon takes a dark turn when an elderly woman offers them a ride, transporting them deep into the woods. However, their journey takes a terrifying twist when the old woman’s car breaks down, leading to a brutal encounter. Two inbred killers, Ike and Addley, emerge from the shadows, launching a vicious attack on them. While Charlie meets a gruesome fate—beheaded by a machete in the backseat—Terry suffers a horrific beating before he is garroted by the very woman who had given them a ride. It’s unsettling to discover that Ike and Addley are actually the woman’s twisted sons.
Simultaneously, in a separate storyline, we follow three college friends—Trina, Abbey, and Jackie—who have maintained their bond since their university days. They are gearing up for their yearly “mystery weekend” getaway, planned by Jackie, who is based in New York City. This year, she surprises Trina—a glamorous model from Beverly Hills—and Abbey, who has returned to Chicago to care for her troubled mother, with a camping trip in the Deep Barrens of rural New Jersey. Their adventure begins with a brief stop at a convenience store where they playfully annoy the local owner and gather supplies for their camping excursion.
Once they reach their destination, the trio sets up camp and revels in memories of their time at Wolfbreath College. They enjoy storytelling by the campfire and participate in various activities like swimming and fishing, blissfully unaware that they are being watched by the sinister brothers. In a shocking turn of events, Ike and Addley invade their campsite in the middle of the night, binding and gagging them in their sleeping bags. The women are taken to a decrepit home where the brothers live with their deranged mother, a woman who delights in the suffering of others. As they are held captive, Jackie is cruelly chosen by Mother to be the first victim, where Addley assaults her while Ike captures the horrifying moment with a camera.
The next day, Abbey and Trina wake up with a burning desire to escape as they notice Mother and her sons engaging in their bizarre exercise routine outdoors. During their escape plan, they make a grim discovery—Terry and Charlie’s lifeless bodies, along with a severely hurt Jackie hidden in a drawer. In a moment of desperation, they manage to escape through a second-floor window, fleeing into the depth of the woods. While Ike hunts them down, Addley stays home, grappling with his mother’s mental state and questioning the very existence of the deformed sister, Queenie, who wanders the forest.
As Jackie succumbs to her injuries, Trina and Abbey plot revenge against their captors. Trina bravely confronts Ike, whom they learn is actually a local policeman, while Abbey and Jackie become separated in the chaos. After a series of intense and violent confrontations with the brothers, Trina uses a claw-hammer to castrate Addley, and Abbey suffocates him shortly after. The siblings’ vengeful rampage culminates with a bloody confrontation where Trina stabs Ike to death with an electric knife after Abbey knocks him out with a television.
Having defeated their tormentors, Abbey and Trina turn their attention to Mother, confronting her in the basement where she blindly watches television. They find a darkly comedic way to bring her end, suffocating her with inflatable breasts, a gruesome yet fitting closure to their harrowing ordeal. With their vengeance finally fulfilled, they prepare to bid farewell to the woods but are met with one last surge of horror as Queenie ambushes them from the shadows. The psychological impact of their violent journey leaves an indelible mark, illustrating both the fragility and resilience of human nature in the face of dire circumstances.
