A tense, tightly wound spy thriller follows an undercover mission that spirals into a high-stakes chase across Seoul and beyond. The Chinese MSS receives crucial intelligence about an illegal firearms pipeline from China to Korea, and they assign a rookie operative to uncover the smugglers. The mission pivots when the operative infiltrates Korea by assuming the alias Yoo Da-hee Lee Sun-bin, teaming up with a seasoned detective and former special-forces operative named Woo Soo-Han Kim Young-kwang. Together, they pursue a key target, Park Doo-sik Choi Jong-nam, a rare-earth element importer who is secretly deeply entangled in the arms trade.

Their pursuit leads them to a bustling cafe in Gangnam, where a topsy-turvy ball dance becomes a corridor to danger and deceit. The pair manage to seize a phone belonging to Doo-sik, only to discover it is a flip phone—a detail that foreshadows the fragility and fragility of the crisscrossing networks they’re unraveling. Doo-sik’s rhythm of life abruptly halts when he is killed with a dart, a death that is quickly passed off as a heart attack, leaving the investigators with more questions than answers. The next day brings a fresh shock: Rodeo, a feared mob boss, is shot as he leaves a nightclub, signaling that the arc of organized crime reaches far and wide and that everyone is connected to someone else’s leverage.

The investigation widens as a fortune teller’s counsel—relayed through Soo-Han—suggests a path toward the Axe Clan, a ruthless faction with strong ties to the weapon trade. The duo’s path collides with the Axe Clan’s enigmatic boss, and a brutal clash with masked assailants forces a hurried retreat while they salvage the clan’s boss’s phone. A breakthrough comes with a hacker’s help, leading them to an address connected to Kim Yeong-Gu, the security head of Mugwang International, and to Jeon-Hoon, a powerful director whose reach extends into the inner workings of the criminal network. The revelation that Jeon-Hoon was the one who threatened Doo-sik after he checked that phone ties the past to present danger and cements the sense that the conspiracy runs through the highest rungs of power.

As tension climbs, the investigators learn of a lavish party at Alvin Hotel where key players will converge. They slip into the event, aware that an arms deal orchestrated by the Axe Clan is planned for midnight. The operation is exposed, and Soo-Han and Yoo Da-hee Lee Sun-bin are captured and brought before Jeon-Hoon Oh Dae-hwan. Desperation surfaces as Jeon-Hoon orders Soo-Han to kill cops at a local station in exchange for Da-hee’s life, turning a personal mission into a dangerous moral crossroads. Soo-Han fights his way back, injuring Jeon-Hoon’s men and racing to regroup at the hotel, where Da-hee is momentarily separated from him.

Arrest, escape, and revelation follow in rapid succession. The NIS reveals Da-hee’s true identity and confirms that she was sent as a sacrificial asset to fulfill the mission, transforming the stakes from a covert operation into a question of loyalty and survival. Soo-Han escapes custody and bursts into the criminals’ hideout, where he frees Da-hee and confronts the killers. The showdown claims Da-rong [Angus Yang], one of Da-rong’s brothers, and dismantles the Axe Clan’s lethal network, culminating in the capture or elimination of Jeon-Hoon and the dismantling of the immediate threat.

The conclusion tightens into a grim but hopeful turn: Soo-Han is offered a chance to become a secret agent by both the NIS and MSS, a deal that promises continued danger but also a path to justice. He accepts, and the film closes on the pair heading toward their next mission—this time in Russia—carrying the weight of their choices and the knowledge that the shadows of the arms trade reach across borders and through every alliance they’ve made.
