Sidharth and his wife Mumthaz are two highly paid IT professionals trying to navigate a rough patch in their marriage. Their sleek city life and demanding jobs are tempered by a shared ritual: their flat becomes a sanctuary where a close-knit circle of friends can unwind. The group includes Abhilash, Charu, Manikunju, Rose, Partha Saradhi and Kalyani. It is within this orbit that a handful of small, unsettling events begins to ripple outward, threatening to redefine everyone’s path.

Tensions surface when Abhilash and Charu clash over expectations, revealing strains that lie beneath the surface of their relationships. A quiet night at the home of Sidhu and Mummu—where the friends gather to decompress—becomes a microcosm of the growing distance and unspoken resentments among the group.

For Charu, life has been colored by isolation, having been sheltered mostly by her father since the age of five. A wedding meetup between the families of Abhi and Charu triggers Charu’s father to relapse into drinking after fifteen years, driving a wedge between Charu and Abhi and sending shockwaves through their circle. The tension points to deeper questions about belonging, loyalty, and the price of happiness.

A planned trip to Chennai for Mani’s and Rose’s wedding, and for Abhi’s arranged marriage with his father’s friend’s daughter, sets the stage for a dramatic pivot. Charu disappears, fleeing first to Bangalore and eventually seeking life abroad, leaving Abhi and their circle to grapple with what has been uprooted.

The narrative returns from flashback as Charu reads an email from Kalyani about her own marriage and re-enters a reunion of old ties she once left behind. At the airport, Charu is unexpectedly met by Abhi, who sits beside her and signals a path they never fully closed. He had been ready to marry Charu all along, even without her consent, a truth that jolts the group into a new awareness of the bonds they share. In a moment of reconciliation, the friends rally around the couple, and Abhi and Charu decide to move forward together toward marriage.
