In a gripping tale of survival and introspection, the story alternates between scenes featuring a tough marine and his emotional farewells. The film opens with our protagonist, marine Mike, portrayed by Armie Hammer, sharing a poignant goodbye with a young woman at the airport before embarking on a helicopter mission that will test his limits. Shortly thereafter, we see Mike alongside his spotter Tommy, played by Tom Cullen, as they set up on a cliff that overlooks a vast desert landscape.
