Detective Rizotti George Spencer and his partner Detective O’Mara John Moser begin investigating a string of brutal murders that have gripped the red light district of New York’s massage parlors. The tension thickens as the killings unsettle workers and patrons alike, turning the once-bustling district into a scene of whispered fear and watchful eyes.
After Rosie Chris Jordan, a girl that Detective Rizotti visited often at the massage parlor, is murdered, Detective O’Mara goes to talk to Rosie’s roommate Gwen Sandra Peabody, whom he eventually becomes romantically involved with. The conversation opens a window into the hidden lives of the parlors and the people who work there, hinting at danger lurking beneath the surface.
Gwen is asked if she has any insights on who the killer might be, and she tells him about a man Rosie called “Mr. Creepy” George Dzundza, who made her uncomfortable. The detectives locate the mysterious man, watch him exit his apartment, follow him, and detain him, ordering that he leave town. Yet the terror does not subside, and the murders continue to escalate.
The patrols intensify as Gwen, who works at a Lust Lounge massage parlor, reveals to O’Mara that she does not have sex with her clients and instead acts more like a shrink, listening, offering counsel, and trying to calm frightened workers. Rizotti attends church with his wife, and the case takes on a new dimension as he begins to suspect that the killer could be a religious nut, driven by a motive rooted in the seven deadly sins.
Determined to connect the dots, Rizotti and O’Mara head to a book store and study the seven deadly sins, hoping to uncover a throughline in the murders. As they piece clues together, they realize the killer targets massage parlors that symbolically align with each sin: the Mad Hatter for anger, Everybody’s Envy for envy, and the Lust Lounge for lust—the very parlor where Gwen works.
They race to the Lust Lounge in a desperate bid to save Gwen from the killer, only to find her dead. The film ends on a grim note as another massage parlor girl is attacked by the killer; she fights back, splashing hot oil, and the arson of his burning body brings the murderous rampage to a fiery end.
