Achuthankutty is an ambitious, self-assured young man who dreams of becoming a bank manager and climbs the social ladder with a clear sense of his own importance. He carries himself with a swagger that blinds him to others’ feelings, and he is quick to judge, especially when it comes to Aswathy, a nurse he has not yet met. He insults her before meeting her, a boastful gesture that foreshadows the trouble ahead. Soon after, he lands a job as a peon in the same town where she works, placing him under the watch of his new supervisor, Sundareshan, while the domestic front becomes a battleground with his wife, Chandrika, a strong-willed and outspoken woman.

Chandrika and Aswathy are friends, and their bond becomes a catalyst for the central conflict. They learn more about Achuthankutty’s vanity and hypocrisy, and Chandrika, fed up with his attitude, urges Aswathy to take revenge. The two women hatch a plan that hinges on deception: they convince Achuthankutty that Aswathy is an air hostess, a lie that she and Chandrika exploit to trap him in a marriage of convenience. In a bold turn, Chandrika nudges Achuthankutty to present himself as a bank manager to the woman he believes he is wooing, and the misled man ends up marrying her.

What follows is a period of tangled games and moral testing. Aswathy commits herself to the revenge, even as she pays a personal price, and Achuthankutty finds himself in a fool’s paradise built on lies. The web of deceit begins to peel away, and he is forced to confront the depth of his own errors. He resorts to drastic measures in a last-ditch effort to secure his lifelong goal, yet the realization slowly dawns that life and marriage demand something more honest and compassionate. After a long, arduous stretch of despicable games, he begins to understand the true meaning of commitment and responsibility, and he ultimately makes his way back to Aswathy, seeking a fresh start built on genuine understanding rather than hollow fantasies.
