In the rural town of Mahalakshmipuram during the year 1996, a series of mysterious suicides begin to trouble the local community. These tragic deaths, initially perceived as suicides, are later revealed to be murders linked to deeper and darker secrets within the village. Every Tuesday, the villagers find confessions of illicit affairs scrawled across various walls, adding to the strange and tense atmosphere that pervades the area. Despite the peaceful appearance on the surface, significant conflicts simmer beneath among the villagers, hinting at hidden scandals and suppressed emotions.

The investigation into these deaths is taken up by a newly appointed Sriwekhha, who plays the role of Maaya, an insightful and determined police officer. As she delves deeper into the case, Maaya uncovers that the deaths are not accidental but intentionally orchestrated. Her clues lead her to a compassionate man named Vajja Venkata Giridhar, who portrays [Ayyapayya] and provides her with crucial information about the victims and the circumstances surrounding their deaths. During her investigation, Maaya encounters Viswanatham, an affable man who is caught writing a confession on a wall, resulting in a tense confrontation where he manages to overpower and tie Maaya up in his backyard.

Despite this setback, Maaya manages to free herself and confronts Viswanatham about his connection to the victims, particularly a woman named Sailaja, played by [Payal Rajput]. Viswanatham reveals that Sailaja was a victim of hormonal imbalance, which caused her to lose control over her sexual urges, leading to tragic consequences. Sailaja was also involved with Madan, the English lecturer who pretended to love her but ultimately exploited her. When Madan married a colleague, Sailaja was emotionally shattered, which caused her to act impulsively and engage in risky sexual behaviors with strangers in the village.

A pivotal moment occurs when Viswanatham, after inadvertently meeting Sailaja, decides to care for her as if she were his own daughter, despite the village’s gossip and disapproval. Tragically, Sailaja faced relentless stigma and was beaten by villagers who judged her immoral, culminating in her being expelled from the village under the orders of [Prakasam Babu], the village’s influential and arrogant Zamindar. Her body was later found in a well, and her death was officially ruled a suicide, though the truth was far more complicated.

Viswanatham then confesses that Sailaja had uncovered an illicit affair involving Rajeswari Devi, the respected wife of Prakasam, and a photographer named Vasu. Concerned that her secret would be exposed and ruin her reputation, Rajeswari, Vasu, and others with whom they shared similar illicit affairs conspired to silence Sailaja forever. They orchestrated her murder—after spreading false gossip to ostracize her—and killed her on a Tuesday night, disregarding her desperate pleas for mercy.

The story takes a darker turn when Viswanatham, along with Ravi, played by [Priyadarshi Pullikonda], who had posed as dead after a tragic incident involving abuse, work together to bring justice. Ravi, who had murdered his own father to protect Sailaja’s honor, now lives as a graveyard keeper, seeking to avenge her death. He and Viswanatham secretly track down and eliminate the six individuals responsible for Sailaja’s murder. Before her death, Sailaja had agreed to marry Ravi, a plan they discussed to escape the cycle of abuse and societal judgment, convincing her with the help of Viswanatham.

However, the truth surfaces dramatically when Prakasam confronts his wife, Rajeswari Devi, after overhearing her secret affair. She initially denies everything but eventually stabs him during a heated confrontation. Prakasam then pushes her off a terrace, leading her to set herself ablaze in a staged act of sacrifice, claiming she did so to appease the village’s goddess, Maalachamma, and halt the cycle of tragedies. The village believes her death to be a divine sacrifice, and Maaya chooses to close the case as a series of tragic suicides, interpreting these events as divine punishment for human sins, with the belief that divine justice will prevail.

In a private encounter, Viswanatham reveals that Prakasam admitted to killing his wife to punish her for her betrayal and for the murder of an innocent girl. This confession raises questions about morality and justice, especially since Prakasam justifies his actions as a means to uphold moral values, even as he admits to being an atheist. The investigation further uncovers that Sailaja’s death was orchestrated by Rajeswari Devi and her accomplices, who believed her potential to expose their secrets was a threat. This truth is revealed through Puli, a gossiping assistant who witnesses the murder.

The climax reaches its peak as Ravi, driven by a desire for justice, kills Vasu, the photographer implicated in Sailaja’s death, and ultimately takes his own life in the same well where Sailaja was murdered. The film concludes with a hauntingly poetic note: the ghosts of Sailaja and Ravi are seen lingering in the well, suggesting that their spirits remain bound to the site of their tragic end. In a mid-credits scene, the film hints at a broader network of illicit affairs and secrets across other villages, highlighting the widespread nature of hidden sins, and leaves viewers with the chilling suggestion that their spirits may continue to watch over the living, hinting at a potential sequel.
