What Is Maïna About?
The premise of Maïna without spoilers.
Maïna is the daughter of an Innu leader and witnesses a violent clash between her clan and the Inuit. Following this event, she undertakes a perilous mission to honor a dying friend’s request. She sets out to deliver a young boy, Nipki, who has been captured by the Inuit, but is subsequently taken prisoner herself by Natak, the Inuit leader, and brought to the frozen Land of Ice.
