What Is Mamma Gógó About?
The premise of Mamma Gógó without spoilers.
Gógó, an elderly woman diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, continually finds herself in bewildering situations typical of the disease. Her son, a film director whose recent movie flopped, struggles with mounting financial pressures. As Gógó’s condition worsens, the family arranges her move to a nursing home, a decision she and the ghost of her late husband resent. To cover his debts, the son sells his mother’s apartment and valuable artwork, using the proceeds to stay afloat.
