Arrested for a murder he didn’t commit, American adventurer Bart Lanigan is about to be deported from Finland when a hit‑man ambushes him in Helsinki harbour. He escapes, teams up with charismatic local conman Arvo Mäki, and hunts fugitive millionaire Leonard Weston (alias Lawrence Walker), who fled the U.S. with his company’s funds and is investing in Finland. Their pursuit across scenic southern Finland is complicated by night‑club singer Marja Salo, who insists on marrying Lanigan.
