Major Chandrakanth N.T. Rama Rao is portrayed as a patriotic hero who earns the Param Vir Chakra for saving foreign delegates from the terrorist GK. In the wake of the mission, his close ally, Major Rajasekhar, is fatally wounded. Before dying, Rajasekhar entrusts Chandrakanth with a personal mission: to ensure his daughter Sita marries his son Sivaji. Yet life throws a wrench into those plans. Sivaji slides into crime, secretly partnering with a young woman named Hema, while, unbeknownst to him, he also works for the corrupt politician and MP Gnaneswara Rao, a man who destabilizes society through his five sons.

Sivaji’s path crosses with Sita by chance, and during a tense mass wedding, they narrowly evade the police, inadvertently tying the sacred thread to her. Meanwhile, Chandrakanth returns home to a family that includes his wife Savitri and daughters Bharati and Jhansi, and he starts to confront Gnaneswara Rao’s criminal empire. In the course of protests against political injustices, Chandrakanth is battered with baton blows, a brutal reminder of the harsh world he fights to reform. Sivaji, confused by his father’s steadfast resolve, asks why he keeps wading into these battles. In response, Chandrakanth pours out his deep-seated patriotism, a moment that fires his family with renewed purpose.

This revelation ignites a transformation in Sivaji, who resolves to abandon his deceitful past and leave crime behind. Yet Gnaneswara Rao strikes back by having Sivaji arrested, and Chandrakanth collapses from his injuries. When they finally clash again, Sivaji explains the sequence of events that led to his change: while Chandrakanth was stationed at the border, Sivaji was forced into fraud to save his brother-in-law. What began as a one-time act gradually became a habit, pulling him deeper into deception. Chandrakanth, though, disapproves of Sivaji’s choices, prompting Sivaji to depart from home. With Hema’s help, Sivaji vows to expose the real culprits.

Seeing Sivaji’s reform, Chandrakanth grows proud and, after learning about Sivaji’s marriage to Sita, comes to accept their union with a sense of triumph. Chandrakanth then arranges Jhansi’s alliance with Inspector Raju, the son of a pacifist named Swarajya Rao. Yet Jhansi loves Lokesh, the son of Gnaneswara Rao, who schemes to derail the match. Despite the opposition, Chandrakanth helps ensure the wedding goes ahead. Tragedy soon strikes: Savitri is diagnosed with terminal cancer, and Gnaneswara Rao teams up with GK to sow further chaos. Hema and Sivaji pursue them, but Hema dies in the ensuing conflict.

Chandrakanth exposes Gnaneswara Rao’s crimes in court, yet the cunning politician escapes with false alibis. Savitri passes away, and Chandrakanth swears to wipe out the corrupt powers. Gnaneswara Rao captures Chandrakanth, trying to force him to reveal border secrets, while Sivaji gathers evidence against the same adversary. When GK abducts Chandrakanth’s family, both Sivaji and Chandrakanth join forces to rescue them. In a climactic moment, Chandrakanth presents the incriminating evidence in the assembly, declares that criminals like Gnaneswara Rao threaten the nation, and hands him over to the people’s representatives. The tale closes with Chandrakanth succumbing to his injuries, his legacy a lasting testament to courage and integrity.
