Bala, a patient and devoted music teacher at Naresh Chowdary’s college, leads a quiet life until he discovers his look-alike Krishna Nandamuri Balakrishna, who earns a living as a dance master at Chamundeshwari Jaya Prada’s college. The two men share more than a striking resemblance; their paths begin to collide as Naresh Chowdary’s daughter, Kalyani Meera Jasmine, gradually finds herself drawn to Krishna, with a gentle nudge from Bala that hints at possibility rather than certainty. Krishna’s charm is undeniable, and he decisively woos Kalyani, pulling her heart toward him even as Naresh Chowdary grows cautious and ultimately rejects the budding romance. Kalyani, determined to defy her father, pleads for acceptance, and in a moment of desperation she locks herself in a room, insisting that Naresh Chowdary bring Krishna to her.

Bala steps in with steady counsel, urging Naresh Chowdary to confront Krishna and to seek clarity about the situation. The revelation that shocks everyone comes when Naresh Chowdary learns Krishna is working at Chamundeshwari’s college and that Chamundeshwari is, in fact, his long-separated wife. This twist sets the stage for a difficult family conversation: Chamundeshwari agrees to persuade Krishna to marry Kalyani, hoping to restore a sense of unity. Yet when Krishna is pressed to marry, he temporarily pretends to be Bala, perplexing Naresh Chowdary and Chamundeshwari. The truth eventually surfaces: Krishna is neither Krishna nor Bala, but Balayya, a distinct figure with a complicated past. Balayya’s identity and history begin to unfold in parallel to the life that Kalyani imagines with Krishna.

Balayya is introduced as an uneducated, simple man who lives with his mother, Saralamma Navaneet Kaur, in Visakhapatnam. The arrival of Bhairavi Sneha, a dance researcher, changes everything: she comes to study Balayya and soon falls in love with him, gently guiding him toward a different, more hopeful life. Bhairavi’s love also binds her to a painful maternal past—her mother is Chamundeshwari—and Chamundeshwari’s rigid views threaten the budding romance. Chamundeshwari’s insistence on tradition leads to a public humiliation of Saralamma, and she soon vanishes from Balayya’s life in concern and fear.

The search for Saralamma intensifies, and Balayya and Bhairavi uncover a grim truth: Saralamma has died in a hospital, a consequence of the injury and humiliation she suffered at Chamundeshwari’s hands. Bhairavi, haunted by the possibility that Chamundeshwari was responsible for the tragedy, confronts her, and Chamundeshwari denies malice even as the weight of past actions bears down. Overwhelmed by guilt and despair, Bhairavi ends her life as a punishment for Chamundeshwari’s cruelty, leaving Balayya to confront a broken world and a new burden: a vow to teach Chamundeshwari a lesson for her arrogance and to protect those who cannot defend themselves.

In a turn of forgiveness and reconciliation, Chamundeshwari ultimately apologizes for her past acts, and Balayya forgives her, paving the way for a renewed bond between Naresh Chowdary and Chamundeshwari. With this fragile peace restored, Balayya turns his attention to Kalyani and the love he once encouraged, embracing her openly and bringing the two romantic strands—the one with Kalyani and the one with Bhairavi’s memories and Balayya’s own redemption—toward a hopeful, united ending. The tale closes on a note of restraint and resilience, where families confronted with pride and loss find a path back to harmony, and where the truth of love, identity, and sacrifice ultimately prevails.
