K. Viswanathan, Mammootty, opens the film with a brisk smuggling sequence, pulling goods from customs and delivering them to his clients. When he refuses their offer to partner with him, a sharp dispute erupts and sets the stage for the drama to come. On the road back to Calicut, he is ambushed by a gang of criminals, but is saved by Chandradas, Murali, who is on his way to Calicut to take charge as the Assistant Commissioner of Police. He ferries Viswan to the hospital, and the encounter is surprising for Viswan, who has been posing as a farmer.
Viswan later slips away from the hospital and encounters Chandradas and his family again at Viswan’s beachside guest house. The journey to this premises is aided by Ummar Kutty, Ashokan, his so‑called manager, who drives them to a place where secrets begin to surface. It’s there that they uncover Viswan’s connection to a powerful figure: he is the son‑in‑law of Writer, a notorious landlord, a revelation that deepens the tension and raises the stakes of their encounter. The narrative then shifts into a brisk, unfolding tempo as the truth behind the smuggling operation starts to come into sharper focus.
In the next phase, Chandradas starts to glimpse Viswan’s hidden face, and Viswan lays out the smuggling deal to him. Chandradas takes aim at dismantling the operation, and his actions earn him rapid fame. Yet the hard truth is that the smuggling team belongs to Writer, and the web of crime runs through the shadowy corridors of power that Writer commands. Before any formal questioning can begin, Writer’s henchmen silence a prisoner, underscoring the peril and corruption at play and setting a stark tone for what follows.
Viswan manages to catch the murderer in a decisive moment, but Chandradas, faced with mounting pressure and dirty politics, chooses to ignore the larger story that connects them. The personal layer of the tale resurfaces when Viswan meets his ex‑lover, Sony, who is now an Assistant Collector, adding a personal dimension to the clash between crime and authority. As the tension builds, Chandradas’ own struggles intensify when his children are kidnapped, driving the plot toward its climactic convergence and leaving the audience to ponder the price of justice in a world where loyalty and power constantly collide.
