Three women who grew up loving Ojamajo Doremi find their paths converging as adults. Sora Nagase, Aoi Morikawa, a 22-year-old college student pressured by her parents to become a teacher, Mire Yoshizuki, Nami Miyahara, a 27-year-old career-focused office worker just back from overseas, and Reika Kawatani, Kanako Momota, a 20-year-old freeter,Each faces different stresses—Sora worries about a student with a learning disability, Yūji Makita; Mire feels disrespected by her managers; and Reika’s boyfriend Seiya Kubo keeps siphoning money from her to fund college dreams.
Their bond begins when Sora hears rumors of a Western-style building in Kamakura that inspired the Mahodo magic shop from Ojamajo Doremi. Curious, they explore the site and meet in turn, forming a real-life connection through their shared childhood love for the show and the magic bead toys they once treasured. The meeting is casual and warm, and though they each return to their daily lives, the trio stays in touch, the friendship quietly taking root.
When stress rises again, Sora invites Mire and Reika to spend Golden Week in Aichi Prefecture. There they travel to Hida-Takayama, the backdrop for events tied to the film Ojamajo Doremi: The Secret of the Frog Stone. In a candid night talk, Reika confides that her father left after her parents’ divorce and that her mother died two years later. On the third day Mire suggests Reika make a wish on her magic bead to reunite with her father. Their search leads them to a hospital, where Reika glimpses her father with a new family and realizes he pretends not to know her. Mire rebukes Reika for not standing up for herself, which sparks anger in Reika and prompts her to return to Onomichi alone. That night, Mire stays at Sora’s house and, after watching episode 19 of Ojamajo Doremi Sharp, resolves to repair their bond. She goes to Onomichi to apologize and tracks Reika down, finding her apartment with the help of the okonomiyaki shop where she works. Mire saves Reika from Seiya’s coercive pressure for money, and Reika finally breaks up with him. The two repair their friendship, and Reika reveals that her bead came from her father. Mire invites her to move in so they can support her studies.
Following a painful bout of mistreatment at work, Mire quits and discovers that her coworker Hayato Yabe, Akira Ishida, harbors feelings for her. At the same time, Yūji Makita is enrolled in a special education school, and Sora helps him find motivation to study for her teaching exams.
By summer, the trio travels to Nara and Kyoto, where two Ojamajo Doremi Dokkān! episodes unfold. On the train, they befriend Ryuichi Omiya, a college student who shares an Onpu bead keychain and turns out to be a fellow fan who guides their journey. Sora confesses her feelings for Omiya in Kyoto, but he rejects her. Even so, the journey reinforces a sense of progress for the three friends, who recognize that they possess their own kind of magic.
Three months after their trip, Sora, Mire, and Reika rent the Kamakura building and open Café MAHODO, a tangible realization of their combined dreams. As they settle in, a silhouette races through the halls, and when they chase it, they discover Doremi, Hazuki, Aiko, Onpu, Momoko, and Pop—framing the moment as a reminder that the magic of their youth still lingers in their lives.
