Longitud de Guerra 1976
Adapted from Heriberto Frías’s novel Tomochic, the film dramatizes the 1891 uprising of the inhabitants of Tomochi, Chihuahua, who rebelled against President Porfirio Díaz’s government. It was Mexico’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 1976 Academy Awards.
