The story

What Is Le Ride About?

The premise of Le Ride without spoilers.

In 1928, a small, inexperienced team from New Zealand and Australia entered the Tour de France, then considered the world’s most grueling sporting event. Facing established teams of ten, this underdog group of just four was largely dismissed, with one French journalist even labeling their attempt as suicidal. Of the 168 riders who began the over 3,500-mile race, only 41 ultimately finished. Television personality and cycling enthusiast Phil Keoghan revisits this remarkable story, retracing the historic 1928 route on a vintage bicycle over 22 stages, averaging 150 miles each day.
